FAQ - Courses, Conferences, and Summits
New to our education portal? A little nervous about technology? Don't worry - you've got this! Just take a look at these frequently asked questions about how to access educational opportunities, recordings, and more.
How do I access my education portal dashboard?
Go to the sign-in page at https://communitycatscentral.thinkific.com/users/sign_in and log in using the email and password you used when you registered. Once logged in, you'll see your courses on your dashboard. Forgot your password? Use the "Forgot Password" link on that page to reset it.
How do I watch a live session?
Courses: You will not receive a separate link via email. Log in to your education portal account and click on the course in your dashboard about 5 minutes before the scheduled event, then follow the instructions in the "Join the Live Event" chapter in the course curriculum menu. This will take you to the presentation, where you may be asked to either log into Zoom or authenticate with a one-time passcode.
Conferences & Summits: You will receive a link from Zoom that you can use to join the event at any point during its scheduled run time. This will take you to Zoom, where you may be asked to log in or authenticate with a one-time passcode, and then you'll be admitted to the lobby where you can choose the presentation you want to join.
How do I watch a recording or an on-demand session?
Courses: Recordings are usually posted the morning following the live session. Click the "Watch the Replay" chapter in the course curriculum menu. All resources and handouts from the live event will be available there as well.
Conferences & Summits: After the live event ends, you can use the link you received from Zoom via email to log in and choose any of the unedited recordings from the lobby. Usually, within two weeks, the recordings will be edited and released via your education portal account — you'll receive an email from us when that happens. Just log in to the education portal, choose the event from your dashboard, and pick the session you want to watch from the curriculum menu. All resources and handouts from the live event will be available there as well.
Where can I find the curriculum menu once I'm in the course? How do I start a course from the beginning, choose a specific course chapter or conference presentation, or find the downloadable resources ?
If you aren't automatically taken to the beginning of the curriculum when you click on a course, you can open the curriculum menu to choose the chapter you'd like:
- Desktop or Laptop: Look for the curriculum menu on the left side of your screen.
- Mobile: Tap the three lines in the upper left corner to open the curriculum menu.
From there, select Join the Live Session, Watch the Replay, or the presentation title, to begin. Resources and downloads can also be accessed from the curriculum menu.
I earned my certificate but I can't find it! Help!
If you've completed 100% of a certification workshop's curriculum, passed the test, and earned your certificate but can't find it or need a copy of it in the future, it's available in your account. Here's how to find it:
- Sign in to your education portal account and click your name on the top right
- In the dropdown menu that appears, click My Account, then click Certificates, then click View and your certificate page will open.
Who should I contact if I need help or have questions before or after I attend an educational event?
If you have difficulty, please email support@communitycatscentral.com or text 508-584-3889. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer phone support without an appointment. Please send only one message to avoid confusion and allow time for us to respond. It is often difficult to respond as an event is getting started. If possible, please send support requests at least an hour before an event begins to get the quickest response.
